Know Pot(s) - Deschutes County's Marijuana Program & Changes
Wednesday, August 22
Discuss Deschutes County's past, present and future marijuana grow policy.
Deschutes County has allowed marijuana grow sites in rural areas since fall 2016. Nearly 40 applications
for grow sites have been approved, several denied, and over 20 are still awaiting a County decision. The
Community Development Department completed an evaluation of the marijuana program in spring. Based
on the evaluation, the Board of County Commissioners is proposing amendments to the regulations with
public hearings scheduled to begin in late summer. Our program will highlight the program's nearly two-year
history and changes currently under consideration by County Commissioners.
